Bill Me Later – PayPal Credit
PayPal has long been considered the best way to make purchases online without a credit card. They’ve recently partnered up with Comenity Bank to create the Paypal credit program.
PayPal has partnered with thousands of online retailers to provide a wide range of rewards when you shop. Qualifying purchases can even come completely interest free if you pay for them within 6-9 months.
The deals offered vary greatly between participating stores and some retailers who work with PayPal have opted not to offer deals for PayPal credit users, so make sure you check with each store before you make your purchases.
HOW IT WORKS
Unlike a regular credit card, the PayPal credit program offers customers a line of credit specifically for online purchases. If you’re approved, the line of credit will automatically open when you make your next online purchase using PayPal. The initial line of credit will be for either the cost of your first purchase or $250, whichever amount is greater.
Once your line of credit has been established, it will automatically grow as you make larger purchases. PayPal will assess your eligibility for a higher credit limit during the checkout process so you never have to apply for a highter credit limit again.
Comenity Bank will assess if your eligibility during your initial application by examining your credit score and other related documents. Once your line of credit has been established, Comenity Bank will also be responsible for deciding whether you’re eligible for an increase.
WHERE CAN PAYPAL CREDIT BE USED?
PayPal Credit can be used pretty much anywhere regular PayPal payments are accepted. This includes thousands of online retailers, some of whom exclusively use the PayPal system.
WHERE CAN YOU APPLY FOR PAYPAL CREDIT?
If you’re interested in using the PayPal Credit program to make your online purchases, you can apply for an account at the following address: creditapply.paypal.com. The application process is shorter for members who already have a regular PayPal account.
